E-2 visa: frequently asked questions
The E-2 lets a national of a treaty country live in the United States to develop and direct a business in which they have invested substantial capital. Chile has qualified since the Free Trade Agreement entered into force in 2004. There is no statutory minimum amount and no annual cap, and it renews indefinitely.
